“Chad, I can honestly say that without your workshops and technique approach to songwriting I wouldn't know exactly where to start. Yes there are a lot of tutorials out there especially on YouTube. Over the years I especially learn the craft of lyric writing, something I kind of felt short of but now it's been a craft in itself. You have given me the direction from one songwriter to another, coming also from the melody standpoint, which I feel is my greatest strength, you have helped me open some areas I never thought possible, what can I say. With your connection and capability and a lot of heart I am eternally grateful. Thanks, Chad!”
““Chad’s songwriting workshops are both educational and inspirational. I like how he focuses on a specific songwriting topic, dives deep into the details, and shows examples of how to implement this in your songs. His teaching style engages the audience and allows for audience participation. The take aways I get from his sessions are valuable to me and I have used them to improve my songwriting. Thanks Chad!” ”
“Songwriting is an ever-evolving craft, and the journey of growth and learning never truly ends. The foundation I built through Chad’s classes has equipped me with the tools and knowledge to continue honing my craft and creating music that resonates with audiences. It has elevated my writing skills. Your classes were truly transformative for me as a songwriter.. I highly recommend Chad’s songwriting classes.”
“When I first started working with Chad, I immediately could see he wasnt the type of teacher that was going to tell me what I wanted to hear, but instead he told me exactly what I needed to hear. Which in my case was that despite working hard at the craft for a number of years before meeting Chad, I was still only an intermediate beginner songwriter. While this news was very surprising and disappointing at first, I really appreciated the honest, kind, and clear ways in which Chad showed me all of the areas of songwriting where I needed to improve. And very quickly I started seeing those areas as great opportunities for advancement, and advancing quickly is exactly what happened next! ”
“Chad's At-Home Songwriting workshops have been an absolute game-changer for my songwriting journey. His sessions are not only well-organized and thoughtfully paced, but they also cover a wide range of songwriting topics, techniques, and deep dives into artists who have shaped the craft. The interactive challenges he sets up from time to time allow songwriters to apply what they've learned in a practical and inspiring way and they are a lot of fun! Beyond the knowledge and skill-building that come through the various workshops, Chad has created a very welcoming and supportive space where songwriters, both budding and experienced, can share their ideas, ask questions, and grow in confidence as writers.”

Your teacher in the craft...
I have been writing songs for more than thirty years. I have run my own record label, worked in commercial radio, released over three hundred songs, and had my music placed on HBO, Discovery, MTV, WE Network, and other outlets. I have taught lyric writing and commercial songwriting for Berklee College of Music Online, and I have worked with Andrea Stolpe’s EMC Institute. I have spent most of my life inside music, both as a songwriter and as a teacher.
But the part that matters most is the part that looks like your story.
I wrote songs for years, and eventually I hit a wall. Every idea felt familiar. Every lyric felt like something I had already said. I kept waiting for inspiration to show up and carry me through, and it stopped showing up. I was not blocked. I was repeating myself. I did not know how to break out of it, and I did not know how to finish stronger songs.
Everything changed when I learned how professional songwriters actually work. They do not rely on inspiration. They rely on systems, tools, and processes that help them turn ideas into finished songs. They write from real life. They write with intention. They write with craft. Once I learned that, my entire creative world opened up. I started finishing more songs, and those songs were better than anything I had written before.
I fell in love with the craft of songwriting, and I also fell in love with teaching it. That is why I started At-Home Songwriting. I help busy songwriters turn ideas into stronger, finished songs. If you are working a day job, juggling life, and trying to write music that feels honest and fresh, you are exactly who I built this for.
Today I teach through my YouTube channel, my free online community, my weekly Thursday Night Live sessions, my monthly workshops, and my video song review service. Everything I teach comes from real experience, real songs, and real craft. I am a songwriter who teaches, and I want to help you find your voice, your confidence, and your next finished song.
Start anywhere. Join the community. Watch a video. Come to a workshop. Send in a song for review. You do not have to wait for inspiration. You can learn the craft, and once you do, the songs will follow.
